Management Team

Morningstar’s Management Team consists of experienced professionals, many of whom have been with the company since its inception. Together, they have a proven track record and unparalleled depth of expertise in developing, constructing, marketing and customer service.

  • Dale Barron - President

    Since 1982, Dale has built and sold more than 2,500 single-family homes in Greater Vancouver and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Homebuilders Association of British Columbia as well as serving on various sales and marketing committees at the local, provincial and national level. Dale has been a member of the Greater Vancouver Homebuilders Association (GVHBA) for 22 years and served as President for 2007. His professional awards include the GVHBA’s Builder Member of the Year in 1986 and 2004, as well as the Canadian Homebuilders Association’s Sales and Marketing Person of the Year in 1990.

  • Bob Morse - Executive Vice President

    Bob has been active in real estate development for the past 18 years. He has developed multi-family, industrial and commercial projects both as an owner's representative and as a principal. Prior to joining Morningstar, Bob was Director of Real Estate for a commercial developer with a large portfolio of retail centres in Arizona and across the southwestern United States. Bob's responsibilities at Morningstar include acquisitions and overseeing the Land Department, thereby creating the communities for Morningstar's award winning homes.

  • Ron Rapp - Vice President Construction

    Ron has enjoyed over 30 years working in construction and real estate development in Ontario and Alberta. His experience encompasses single family, low-rise multi-residential, high-rise residential, office/ commercial, senior’s facilities, and facilities for Parks Canada. Ron has a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Ontario, though most of his construction experience has been hands on. He looks forward to expanding his experience with Morningstar in the Vancouver market.

  • Deborah Calahan - Vice President Sales & Marketing

    Deborah brings over 25 years experience in sales and marketing to Morningstar, ranging from retail management in California to marketing high volume single-family homes for one of Toronto’s leading builders. Deborah has been in British Columbia for the past 10 years and joined the Morningstar team in 2003. She holds a Bachelor Degree in business with an emphasis in marketing.

  • Karen Haines - Executive Assistant

    Karen has over 15 years experience in the home building industry and has been with Morningstar since its inception. Her responsibilities include managing the general administration fiscal budget, hiring and training administration staff, updating the operations manual and coordinating policy reviews. Karen has received a President’s Award from one of British Columbia’s prominent builders, acknowledging her leadership and administration skills as well as receiving a Morningstar Award of Excellence in 2003.

  • Ed Zamrykut - Construction Manager

    Ed has worked with some of the largest homebuilders and land developers in western Canada. He has built well over 2,000 single-family and multi-family homes since 1980, and has earned the Registered Housing Professional (RHP) designation presented by the Canadian Homebuilders’ Association of British Columbia. He believes that continuing education and industry research are key to providing innovative, high quality, affordable homes.

  • Ali Bahrami - Construction Manager

    Ali has a Masters Degree in Architecture and Master of Engineering degree in Construction Management from the University of British Columbia. He has over 10 years experience in housing design and construction management. Ali’s experience in both architecture and engineering are a definite asset to the Morningstar team. Ali was the recipient of Morningstar Homes Award of Excellence in 2006.

  • Brian Foss - Quality & Customer Service Manager

    Brian joined Morningstar in December 2005 and has recently accepted the position of  Quality & Customer Service Manager. Brian has 25 years of experience in various areas of  the construction industry including overhead crane operation, roofing, electrical, drywall  and plumbing.

  • Rettie Edgren - Senior Sales Manager

    Rettie has enjoyed helping 1000's of families purchase homes, and has been selling new homes for over 15 years. The key to Rettie’s success is his attention to the customer from start to finish. What Rettie values most about his work is the responsibility to ensure that the biggest purchase most people will ever make goes smoothly and that homeowners are able to enjoy the process. His knowledge of construction and home design along with his talent for making homeowners feel at ease instills confidence and trust. Rettie has been designated as a Certified New Homes Sales Professional by the Greater Vancouver Home Builders’ Association, as well Built Green certified by the Canadian Home Builders Association Builders’ of BC and is the proud recipient of three Gold Georgie awards by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC and a National “SAM” award winner.

  • Randy Rossum - Sales Manager

    Randy has enjoyed helping families buy new Morningstar single family homes, for over 15 years. His key to success is his attention to the customer from start to finish, and a responsibility to ensure that the biggest purchase most people will ever make goes smoothly and that homeowners are able to enjoy the process. His knowledge of construction, home design and green building practices puts homeowners at ease and instills confidence and trust.   • Arietta Fischlin - Sales Manager

    Arietta Fischlin has been in real estate sales for the past 17 years in the lower mainland. She joined the Morningstar sales team in 2003. Taking care of every detail has been the foundation of her success. Along with a commitment to ensure that the biggest purchase someone will make goes as smoothly as possible, and that homebuyers enjoy the exciting process of buying a home.
